15th Anniversary & Video Release

Old school fans will tell you they had to learn their parts while standing in the back of the theater every weekend for months, or watch a 16th generation copy of the Japanese subtitled video... while walking uphill, both ways, in the snow.

The video release in 1990 was a huge deal.  A lot of fans worried it would kill the shadow casts - that people wouldn't come out to see it every weekend if they could watch it at home.  True fans knew - it didn't even compare.  It just meant better opportunities to research costume and prop details!

This is the article that ran in the Houston Chronicle.  And check out that sticker price of $89!  That was equal to about 5 tanks of gas in 1990.

Rocky Horror 30th Anniversary

September 30, 2005 marked the return of the Beautiful Creatures to the River Oaks theatre to celebrate the film's 30th anniversary.  Performers from multiple past casts participated making it a bit of a Houston reunion on stage.
